This Privacy Policy explains how TrimWise collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the TrimWise mobile application, website, and related services.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
We may collect your email address, account identifiers, and information you choose to provide when creating or managing your account.
Profile and wellness information
Depending on the features you use, TrimWise may process information such as age range, sex, height, weight, goals, dietary preferences, allergies, fitness level, workout preferences, meal entries, calorie and macronutrient data, water intake, steps, and progress information.
Photos and camera access
If you use meal-photo features, TrimWise may access the camera or photos you select so the app can analyze the image and provide an estimated nutrition result. Camera access is optional and may be disabled in your device settings.
Device and usage information
We may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, crash data, and feature usage to improve reliability, security, and performance.
Purchase information
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or another authorized platform. TrimWise does not directly receive or store your full payment-card details.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide and personalize TrimWise features.
- Generate nutrition estimates, workouts, and coaching insights.
- Maintain accounts, subscriptions, and customer support.
- Improve app performance, safety, and reliability.
- Prevent misuse, fraud, and security threats.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Artificial Intelligence and Voice Features
Some TrimWise features use third-party artificial intelligence and voice-processing services to generate nutrition estimates, personalized coaching, meal and workout plans, daily insights, and spoken Coach responses.
TrimWise uses OpenAI to support certain AI-powered features. When you use these features, TrimWise may securely send the information reasonably necessary to generate the requested response, such as questions you ask your Coach, nutrition and fitness information, goals, meal information, or meal photos you choose to analyze.
TrimWise also uses ElevenLabs to generate optional spoken Coach responses. When you choose to hear your Coach speak, the Coach response text may be sent to ElevenLabs so that an audio response can be generated.
TrimWise does not need to send your password, payment-card information, Apple purchase credentials, or complete payment account details to OpenAI or ElevenLabs for these features.
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before relying on them. AI and voice features are optional, and you may disable AI features through TrimWise settings.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate TrimWise, including providers of cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, artificial intelligence, and voice-generation services.
For example, TrimWise may use OpenAI to process information needed for AI-powered coaching, meal analysis, workout planning, and related features. TrimWise may use ElevenLabs to process Coach response text when you request spoken Coach playback.
These providers process information as necessary to provide services to TrimWise and are subject to their own privacy and data-processing terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Account-related information may be deleted or de-identified after an account-deletion request is completed, subject to legally required retention.
7. Account Deletion
You may initiate account deletion inside the TrimWise app through the account settings. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through your Apple ID subscription settings.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children's Privacy
TrimWise is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for use by anyone who cannot legally consent to the processing of their information in their jurisdiction.
10. Your Choices
You may update certain profile information in the app, manage device permissions in your device settings, manage or disable AI-powered features through TrimWise settings, cancel subscriptions through the applicable app store, or request support by email.
You may choose not to use meal-photo analysis, AI coaching, or spoken Coach features.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated date.
